Please avoid using Aramex as your courier local businesses!

About a year ago I dealt with Aramex taking nearly 3 weeks to deliver a pair of shoes. It’s one year later and I had the misfortune of buying goods from a great company who unfortunately makes use of Aramex for their courier services.

How is it possible that a logistics company as large as Aramex can afford to have their website down for three consecutive days last week? Just imagine how many deliveries are made by Aramex in one major centre such as Jhb over three days. Now imagine the entire country. What a logistical nightmare.

Apart from the website downtime and lack of communication, Aramex has once again proved to be the slowest courier in South Africa - taking a full week so far to get my package to me (yet to be received).

I urge local businesses to stop using Aramex if you want customers to be satisfied. We have so many great courier companies like DPD, courierguy, fastway etc.

If I had to buy a product and another company offers the exact product for R100 less but uses Aramex I would probably avoid it. Please, your businesses and customers deserve to be treated with more respect than what Aramex is doing routinely.
