Parcel crushed - ZERO accountability or customer service!
Using the Aramex Store to Door drop box service, one of my parcels was damaged. Customer sent me pictures after he opened the sleeve and the contents was - crushed. I called Aramex to follow up and was told that Aramex do not cover the contents. I assure the Customer Sales representative that I knew this and that I was not looking for damages for the contents, but that I was availing myself of the R100 (a free sleeve) in their Terms & Conditions clause 6.3. It took a long time for the customer representative to establish her products offerings and the T&C and agreed that I was entitled to the R100 for the sleeve. This is all I wanted to make the situation right. After all, I had to replace some R300 worth of products. What followed was an annoying, drawn out process of me to try and get that free sleeve from Aramex. Many minutes holding on the phone - ultimately without success. I spent more than the cost of the sleeve on phone calls. I was always told... we are still looking into this (really??? Some two weeks later??? REALLY???) Needless to say, I never got that phone call from Aramex and I never got the replacement sleeve. In my experience I have had enough. I used to spend R25,000 with Aramex and now I will be using another courier as I find them to be unaccountible and unintegrous. Don't know who is driving that company, but replacing a sleeve vs keeping R25,000 business... I know what I do in my business. This is now my second complaint - really, I can't wait for my meeting today with the new courier company, so I don't have to keep dealing with Aramex's bull****!!!
