No Joy

I had my phone sent back to me from Saudi Arabia. It was there for repairs. When it arrived Aramex wanted to charge me R2045.34 for customs and duty. When I explained that the phone wasn't new and had been sent for repairs they wanted an encyclopedia of documents proving this. Originally the agent in Saudi said I wouldn't have to pay tax because I had the purchase receipt. According to Aramex SA this was incorrect. But that's another complaint.

Back to the main problem, the documents couldn't be released without the phone and the phone couldn't be released without the documents. Catch 22.

When I informed Aramex of the situation, they said it would be easier to send the phone back. This brings me to the matter at hand, I have made the payment and sent the proof of payment to them but nothing has happened.

This is the person supposedly handling my situation. He hasn't responded to an email since last year. This has been going on since October 2017. He has also stopped answering my calls.
