No feedback or communication

I have a parcel that was shipped from China from Gearbest. The estimated delivery time is up to 2 weeks. Now a month later I am still waiting for delivery. Since I am tracking the status almost daily from I can see the progress or lack thereof. I had to send my ID and invoice to Aramex via email, that I was only told about when I phoned citing the lack of progress at Customs Clearance, on 15 and 20 March 2017. I then received an email from Aramex regarding the payment of customs charges on the invoice they submitted, on 24 March 2017 this being a Friday afternoon. I proceeded to pay using Internet banking and send proof of payment to the instructed email address ********** on 27 March 2017. Once again no feedback from Aramex at all. On the 31st receiving no delivery or response I contacted Aramex support again and I got to speak with Mandisa at Customs Clearance as far as my understanding goes. He then emphatically told me that the email address that I have been told to use for sending proof of payment ALL_JNB... does not work or they are unable to access it ,and that I should send proof of payment to his company email box. So now it is a month later and least 2 weeks over the maximum specified delivery date and still Aramex does not give me feedback or proper response. The customer call centre just gets you down a maze of lost causes. Aramex please contact me on my cell number and tell me what exact date and preferably the time of day my parcel will be delivered!

More than 2 weeks later and Aramex blissfully ignores all complaints on this site. So no public response from this comapny for more than 2 weeks on any complaints for more than 2 weeks! From what I can determine the core reason for most non-deliveries is that shipped goods get stuck at customs or specifically customs "non-clearance". It looks to me that another crisis have been engineered by the powers that be to, slow down customs processing almost to a standstill. So I would urge Aramex to not sit on their hindquarters and start applying pressure on customs to get this congestion of theirs cleared. I am tired of these instituitions milking the ciitizens of this country and giving nothing but poor service in return.

Now we are close to the end of June 2017. I never get any response from Aramex, it is like they have no customer support or any business processes in place to deal with their sub sub-standard service. When I phone them I just get promises of someone getting back to me shortly, which of course never happens. In my mind they are an atrocious business and I certainly never wanted to deal with this company, but they were the only other choice for shipment. I notice that it has been nearly 3 months since their last response on this site, which reinforces my opinion that they care not one wit for their customers!

This business still does not respond. It seems it is administrative limbo. I finally have had contact with an employee after many unsuccessful attempts to find a knowledgeable person at Aramex that could inform me on the delays of my order. Finally reached the point where an insane customs fine is being leveraged due to some claimed misrepresentation of the value of the goods. This issue if indeed correct could most likely have been resolved in a less painful way much earlier on if I contact was made with from the beginning. Due to receiving no responses to my queries in the first 3 months or so after the order have been delivered at customs in South Africa, I was completely unaware of this administrative nightmare that was brewing. I would like Aramex to respond on why they are not responding to reasonable queries made by their customers, and this seems to be especially pertinent and evident in the lack of responses on this site as well for about 4 months now since 23 August 2017

Just a final update. I received the parcel in early October after about 7 months of to and fro. I discovered the cause of the whole mess. It was the commercial invoice that the suppliers in China (Gearbest), that I placed the order with, was incorrect and under-priced. Though I did send the invoice I received from Gearbest, which was correct to Aramex, Aramex didn't inform me that the invoice I sent them and the wrong (under-priced) invoice affixed to the parcel, did not correspond. Of course this discrepancy was obvious to SARS customs and they started their investigation. Not once in the probably 2 to 3 months since the customs investigation began did Aramex me inform what the real issue was with the hold up at customs. The fault was with Gearbest mostly, but the entire unnecessary waiting and extra expenses could have been avoided if they did their job correctly . I wonder how many similar situations do they handle in such a deplorable fashion?
