NO customer support, and delivery not on mentioned date as per sms

Early morning on 6th of October 2022 I received an sms from Aramex, informing me that my package was out for delivery. I made sure that I stayed home all day, so as to not miss the courier, but to no avail.

The next day I had to leave town, and very early that morning I tried contacting Aramex to request that they postpone the delivery, but only managed to reach their automated bot, which couldn't help me. I also sent them an urgent e-mail. Early afternoon I received a phone call from the courier, saying that he was at my home. I asked him to check whether my neighbour was at home, and if so, ask her whether she would be willing to accept my package on my behalf. He told me that there was no vehicle in the driveway, and that the alarm appeared to be on. He then suggested that he could leave my package at the local branch of Pick 'n Pay, since he was on his way there anyway. That suited me, and I agreed.

On my return, I went to Pick 'n Pay to collect my package, but no-one knew anything about it. Getting home, I checked online, and saw that my package was said to have been delivered, and accepted by “Joy”. I had no idea who Joy was, and to confuse me more, there was an entry that first stated that it had been delivered in Sandton, and then another stating that it had been delivered in Cape Town. But I live about 140 km from Cape Town! I immediately sent Aramex Support an urgent enquiry about this, but no-one responded.

The next day my neighbour (who happened to be out of town for a few days) phoned me and said that her servant had been handed a package (and her name is Joyce, not Joy). Clearly, she had NOT been informed that it belonged to me, because she phoned her employer, and the latter told her to open it to check what was inside, since she thought it could be a package she had been waiting for. Upon opening it, she realized that it was not hers. She asked her servant to take a photograph of the address label (because her literacy is very limited). Only thén did she realize that the package was meant for me.

A week later I sent the Complaints Department of Aramex a message via their website, because no-one at the Support Department had bothered to respond to any of my e-mails. More than a month later, and still no response from anyone at Aramex ... I'll do my best to never use Aramex again, if I can help it.
