never ending customs clearance

Parcel arrived here 30 October 2016. There was an issue as supplier understated invoice. I had to take responsibility for that and paid a fine of 1500 rand. I also had to pay duty on full amount including shipping and handling fees. Aramex never bothered checking invoice and really couldnt have cared except to charge their fee. As of today28 December I have no parcel or any calls from Aramex. I call them often wait the usual 30 minutes listening to the same 2 songs before someone who cannot help answers. That person always takes a message and nobody calls back. I cannot believe customs alone is to blame as I bring many parcels in and get them from TNT and DHL as well as others. TNT service always good and helpful, Aramex is truly in a league of their own they are incompitent and unhelpful.

They took my money happily even though it was much more than I was supposed to pay and I never heard from them again. Useless wouldnt use them again.

Dear Gary

Thank you for bringing the matter to our attention.

We apologize for the delay in delivery and we fully understand how frustrating this may be, however the shipment is currently held by Customs for inspection. This forms part of the normal import process, and during peak periods Customs reserves the right to stop all shipments irrespective of the value declared.

Customs is not under Aramex's control and although we facilitate the process on behalf of the customer, they operate independently and is State owned.

Your complaint has been escalated to an Imports Team Senior, and he will be in contact with you shortly.

Kind regards

ok so after blaming customs what is the aramex lie today? They now dont know where the parcel is. I have spoken to 7 people at aramex and each one refers me to someone else. Rather pathetic. And as for the "import team senior" contacting me well that is also a lie and never happened. Chaps I am going to report this as theft to the police and let them deal with your useless team. i will also send an email to your Dubai office. Certainly in a league of your own in terms of pathetic. I do love your automated phone story it goes hello welcome to aramex south africa in order to delight our customers etc etc etc. Delight??? That is hilarious truly stunningly funny. Get your act together or simply leave the business.
