Just can't be bothered to get it right
My parcel arrived in SA from Amazon.com with no update on tracking or notifications from ARAMEX. People were on leave so perhaps one can let that slide... They tried to deliver on 3rd of January as people in South Africa are apparently at home during work hours or we all have full time help at home. My package was in limbo until 8 Jan (5 days with no updates again), so then I phone to make arrangements via the customer service number just to be told that they do not deliver after 15:00 in the afternoon. I make arrangements to be at home in order to take delivery. Apparently it went out again for delivery on 10 Jan just after 8am and I sat and waited like the village !d!0t, all day long, to their delivery guy not even bother to show up. So I phone the following day (again) to re-schedule for Thursday 11 Jan. No problem says customer service... The courier does not pitch AGAIN! So I contact them to re-schedule for today before 14:00 at my work address. Apparently I'm the only person on the face of the planet that has a job and need to attend meetings. Note, no tracking updates since 10 Jan until this morning as it is once again "out for delivery". At 14:00 today my package, which I paid delivery costs for, is still to be delivered after two weeks. It is a simple delivery people, to an address that is easy to find (Takealot delivers here all the time) of a package that does not require a flat bed truck with a crane. ARAMEX on the other-hand cannot find a building that has been around since the 1970's, but they are at least capable of confirming the address... As a matter of fact, I am starting to believe that my parcel my have grown some hairy legs and climbed into someone's back pocket. If you had any level of service, one could classify it as beyond shocking.
