First order...HUGE mistake

I places a Shein order just over a month ago. My oder was just over R2000 and was advised last week by Aramex I had to pay an additional R484.99 for customs to released my order which I did on the very same day. Today im told my shipment was involved in a hijacking and non of the items were retrieved. I called Aramex who advised it was an unfortunate thing that happened but they can't confirm if I will be reimbursed. Im am over R2500 out of pocket and no1 can tell me how this will affect me
