Dont open an account with Aramex
<p>I had an account with them to ship goods for my website. </p> <p>After shipping a few parcels in the plastic sleeves that Pick and Pay charges R99 for I was charged over R200 a sleeve.</p> <p> </p> <p>Their reply to the price difference......</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>The R99 is only available to customers who make use of the drop box product that we have.</p> <p>Account holders don’t have this option , we weigh the flyer bags on our swad machine and this is how account holders are charged – on volumetric weight.</p> <p> </p> <p>I am not certain why you were promised this , however I have recalculated the charges and found nothing that is incorrect.</p> <p> </p> <p>Please advise when the account will be settled.</p> <p> </p> <p>Warm regards,</p> <p>Motsatsi Mo’ Ramalepe</p> <p>Internal Customer Relationship Manager ( CRM )</p> <p>Commercial Department</p> <p> </p> <p>So rather use the drop off at P&P same plastic sleeve and same products cost far less to ship. </p> <p>Fast Freight later offered a better rate and service. </p>

We take note of your complaint regarding the difference in price in the products mentioned, and we will escalate it to the Commercial Manager for consideration.
The Drop Box service is at a significantly reduced rate based on a number of factors, including but not limited to a store to door service, not insurable and with weight and size restrictions.
Account customers benefit from a door to door service, with the option to insure and select additional services, and the price is based on the actual/volumetric weight of the parcel without much restriction other than prohibited commodities.

In the end, the same products shipped cost me R99 via P&P while I did not ask or use any additional serives or insurance when shipping with Armex and it cost over R200.
So for small business owners like myself, your P&P serivce is a better option that the hastle of opeing an account going through credit checks etc only to end up paying more for the same serive.
