Destroyed Gifts ??

I have received 2 gifts from a friend in Hong Kong and the Aramex consultant has informed that If I don't have. a proof of payment for goods as the receiver its a R5000 fine or the goods will be damaged.

the allowance is 2 x gifts per calendar year valued at R1400 per item. however the items were valued less than this.

How should I able to acquire the proof of Payment when I did no even purchase the item?

I also had to pay R160 for a physical inspection because they requested it.
