******** Behavior

I will be opening a case of theft against this company today. I will be citing the consultant at the Cape Town branch specifically, as well as her "contact" that was used to pilfer my parcel. I will also be reporting this to the Ombudsman as well as the National Consumer Commission. I had sent a parcel form Johannesburg to Cape Town on the 20th of December. This parcel was intended for my parents and grandparents and it contained Christmas gifts. A parcel was then delivered to the address in Cape Town that I had specified on the 22nd of December, however, the parcel delivered was not the one that I had sent. Aramex had put my waybill on someone else's parcel and this parcel is at the residence in Cape Town as we speak. They have made no effort to collect the parcel wrongfully delivered. The parcel delivered is a fleet card belonging to someone else. They have made no effort to pick up the parcel wrongfully sent and correct their mistake by dropping it off at the intended address. Furthermore, when i contacted them the day after, they had not been telling the truth when they said that they are in possession of the parcel that I had sent and that they are busy correcting their mistake and that my parcel was on its way to the address that I have specified in Goodwood Cape Town. However, when i tried following up for the remainder of the day and the following day, no one could give me an update as to when it would be delivered. I then had a gentleman in Bloemfontein contact me on the 24th of December to inform me that he had received my parcel and upon opening it saw that it was Christmas gifts and not intended for him and wanted to know what to do with it. I contacted Aramex various times again as they had not been truthful about having my parcel and was then assured that the parcel would be collected from him on the 24th of December by one of their drivers (or as she put it, her contact) where he would keep my parcel at his private residence and then lodge it at the depot on the 27th of December for delivery on the 30th or 31st of December to the intended address in Goodwood Cape Town. My parcel has not been delivered as of writing this on the 8th of January 2025. Aramex staff and Candice is avoiding me, whenever I ask for an update or the consultant handling my case they cite the POPI act against me and say that they cant provide me with information such as who the driver was, what the consultants name is etc, refusing to give me updates as to where my parcel is and when it will be delivered. As stated before, these were gifts and are valuable items, so I will be opening a case of theft against the company as well as reporting them wherever and to whomever I can.
