ARAMEX- WERE MY PARCELS WERE ****** AND CLAIM FALSE HIJACK?
I sent parcels to my customer on Tuesday 21 from Durban to Johannesburg. on the 22nd my client called saying she had been called by ARAMEX delivery guy saying he was hijacked therefore parcels were ****** with the vehicle. she says she asked where exactly and the gentleman became defensive and say " you know these parcels have no insurance " without answering the specific questions. I phoned ARAMEX in Durban office and they asked me for the waybill number. the lady confirmed that their delivery vehicle was hijacked . I asked where exactly she also did not give me details. I asked for the police case number she said it has not been updated in the system . I phoned Johannesburg number and spoke to a guy, also same story. UP to today, 28 September I still have not heard from ARAMEX. Remember as a sender I have not been contacted instead I had to contact them after hearing from the receiver that my shipment was ******. the question is. why do I have to write my email and my mobile number, pay for a service and not here from them when my parcels are lost or ****** under their care even if I am not insured. to me it looks like there is some foul play here. I challenge ARAMEX to prove me wrong, provide a police report or case number to show that there was a hijack unless they have so many cars they don't mind putting trackers or reporting to police when they lose one . my shipment is DBP*** AND DBP ***.
