Aramex: The Worst Delivery Agency Ever!!

Horrible, horrible experience. Don't ever use these guys, ever! I bought some basic products from Shein which I will also review, including some Cat climbing stuff and cat toys. At first it took a very long time and then I got a tracking number from Shein upon request. The delivery agency was Aramex South Africa. When you use the tracking number and look at the tracking details, the products got here in South Africa, and was cleared by customs but was then suddenly confiscated from the Aramex Sandton Hub. Then the threatening emails started to pay "release" money to Peachpayments or my products will be sent to a Government Warehouse after which I will have to pay R5000 (the products are R2500) I made a complaint because Aramex has on its own website that you must never pay money on email demands, it's *******ion. I lodged a complaint to the Aramex anti *******ion unit and suddenly got various emails from people that are not South African that I must make payments before they deliver. So the *******ion continues. According to them I must pay VAT, but if products are imported, it's not VAT, it's Customs Duties. Either Aramex, Customs at OR Tambo, or Peachpayments, or Shein or all of them are involved in a *******ion scheme. Horrible experience!! I still haven't got my products. I told them to bring the products, an Invoice and a cash machine and I'll pay, but not on the say so of an email. I never had problems when Amazon used them, it seems if it's a bigger package, they start with these *******ive practices. I will never select them as a Delivery Agent ever again and advise against using them. My tracking number is ***.
