Aramex South Africa - a complete let down!

I ordered 25 bundles of hair from China (with the aim of selling them here in South Africa) and unfortunately my supplier delivers through Aramex. Anyway, after waiting for about 2 weeks to get the hair delivered to me (note that I could see when tracking the shipment that the parcel got to South Africa about 2 days after I had placed my order) 9 bundles were missing! These cost me about R4 000 excluding shipping and customs costs!

I am certain that my supplier handed all 25 bundles of hair to Aramex for shipping because when I had been tracking my order, the weight for the parcel that was on the Aramex site was 2.56 kg (which sound right for 25 bundles of hair each weighing 95 g - 100 g). I'm assuming that someone from Aramex stole the hair. I am not an expert on how delivery companies work but I would I assume that after receiving the parcels from customs they weigh them again to ensure that the weight is the same as before they handed the parcels over to customs. So if my case was a customs theft, then Aramex would have picked it up and have it investigated before sending the parcel to me. But because this did not happen, Aramex was clearly happy with the parcel when it came fron customs.

Unfortunately I did not open my parcel on the spot after receiving it, to check if everything was there. But I have been calling Aramex eversince to open up a case in the hope that the hair could be recovered or that I could be reimbursed. The whole of last week I could not be halped, and no one even got back to me to update me on the progress of my case.

When I called in this morning, I lost all hope. Firstly, I was told that my case was still not assigned to someone. Secondly, after speaking to the supervisor I started accepting that my case was not going anywhere - I really was not going to get help from Aramex :(

The supervisor wanted to know if I still had the opackage with me unopened - which I obviously didn't. Then she wanted to know if I had taken pictures of the parcel - which I unfortunately didn't. She then said she'd speak to the security guys, and that this would take days (like i haven't been waiting enough already), and that she is not promising anything from this.

I am just really upset by this whole thing and I am not impressed that it even happened to begin with, and by how it's being addressed.
