Aramex SA say they are not responsible for any packages

I recently had the unfortunate occasion to learn that my package, to be delivered via Aramex, had been ******. I patiently waited for several days to receive feedback on what would happen next with regard to a reimbur*****t. I received no feedback from the Port Elizabeth branch and had to follow-up myself several times. While they firstly take ages to answer the telephone getting to a 'manager' is of no use whatsoever as they all tell you a different story and none seem to know Aramex policies.

This package was ****** from a third party courier and Aramex has explicitly told me that they are not responsible for any package that may be damaged, lost, or ****** EVER. They maintain that the seller is responsible as the shipping fee was not paid in South Africa. I do not understand how the seller can be held responsible if the package was ****** while in the possession of Aramex Port Elizabeth. In addition, I was told that Aramex only employs a third party courier to service my area if the packages were late in arriving to their depot; subsequently I was told this wasn't the case. This is the two stories I was told by the Operations Manager and the Customer Services Supervisor. The Customer Services Supervisor also attempted to send me an e-mail but it was so poorly composed and lacking in information that I had to follow up, again. Unsurprisingly, she did not know Aramex's policy on ****** packages.

I would not recommend Aramex if they were the last courier company on the face of the planet.
