Aramex & PostNet reject claim for damaged artwork after transit failure (Waybill: PPA***)
I shipped artwork via PostNet using Aramex (Waybill: PPA***). The parcel was packed in-store at PostNet Wonderboom Junction, wrapped in bubble wrap, and marked FRAGILE. Upon delivery, the artwork arrived with physical cuts and scratches incurred during transit, forcing the buyer to cancel the order and causing a direct financial loss of R1,200. When an insurance claim was submitted, Aramex flatly rejected it, citing "insufficient packaging" to avoid taking responsibility for rough handling. PostNet now refuses liability, blaming Aramex, while Aramex blames PostNet's packaging. Both companies collect transit fees and offer shipping services, but shift blame back and forth to deny valid claims when goods are damaged. Zero accountability from both Aramex and PostNet.
