Aramex not taking responsibility
24/7/2018 Good day Hello Peter I've ordered books from Amazon on 21st June. Amazon used Aramex as courier and they subcontracted it to Orion. Waybill # ********** 421 I received the books with water damage 9th July. Even the box was damp. I have taken photos and emailed it to Amazon and later to Aramex. Amazon replaced the books immediately and I have to return the books back (before 9/8/2018) with a $25 refund to me or have to pay for the replacement books again. We phoned Aramex and asked them to return the books at their cost back to Amazon since I received the books damaged. If they choose not to return the books, I suggested that they pay for the replacement books ($72.13) They phoned my office today and tell me to return the books by myself because Amazon will refund me. The problem is with the courier costs vs the refund of $25.00 (R337.50) UTI's cost is R2041.40 Aramex's cost will be R1923.00
I feel that the books were delivered with water damage and they must take responsibility for it by either sending it back to Amazon on their account or pay for the replacement books. Thank you
