Aramex - no competion for the Gobal courier market - highly advise not to use this service.

This company does not deserve the one star rating I have given it. I have always used a competing and well know Global courier in the past, but on delivering my parcel to PostNet was advised to use Aramex. They offered the exact same service and delivery time - so I was told, as per the competing courier service. I pre-paid R3,500 for a parcel to be delivered to Uk. I was told it would take 2 to 4 days as it was to a city address overseas, and not to an outlying area. 10 days later the parcel had still not been delivered. After a stressful and anxious couple days with numerous costly international phone calls to Aramex in the UK/Ireland offices I was told there is an additional fee, before the parcel could be released for delivery !! The extra fee quoted as almost the same as the initial pre-payment I made - which was supposed to be the payment in full. I never had this issue when using the competing Global courier service - no extra fees involved - in order to finalize or complete the delivery, and no delays of any sort, as well as notifications being sent correctly as well. I highly advise NOT USING this courier service for global -international postage ! I have nothing good to say about this service. Very stressful, and still waiting for the parcel to be delivered !
