Aramex **** and lost my parcel.

If I could give zero stars I would do that.

Aramex was supposed to have delivered a parcel to me during the day on the 13th of November. When I phoned them to check if it would be delivered I was told by a Thamela that it was out for delivery and would be dropped off during the day.

When it didn’t arrive I called again and was told by another operator that Thamela was on lunch and that they would check, they informed me that the parcel can not be located and that nobody could find my parcel but that they would investigate. When I eventually got hold of Thamela, she told me that my parcel had been given to the wrong third party agent who was going somewhere else completely. She also informed me that the “guys” in operations are very lax and they they are not helpful in getting back to her, I then requested to speak to a supervisor, I got put through to Dwayne who confirmed that the parcel was “lost” and that they would investigate. I requested that Joshua from operations give me a call. He said it had been scanned out to a driver going to Port Shepstone (I live in Durban), but he promised me that when the agent returned to Durban it would be dropped off at my house. He said this would take place around 19:00/20:00 which I said was fine.

Just before 17:00 (in other words just late enough that I could do nothing about it) I got a phone call from Dwayne telling me that my parcel was now missing. and that nobody had any idea where the parcel was, it was gone.

They refused to give me any more information.They **** to me and shunted me around from pillar to post. And they refuse to take responsibility for the fact that they lost my parcel. Upon asking Dwayne what will happen next he informed me that Aramex would “most likely” just reimburse me, after which I informed him that it was a R4000 parcel and I don’t think they would, he agree that they would not reimburse or replace. But that I should wait for Monday to see what happens...and now we wait...

I can now see why people complain about Aramex and why they only have 2 stars on google.
