Good day,
I went to a PostNet at Blue Valley Mall, Centurion on Wednesday 27 November 2019 to courier, 8 X bottles of different whiskeys i.e. 3 X Black Label, 3 X Courvoisier, 1 X Singleton and 1 X Chivas, packed by myself and a friend. I requested an overnight courier service which amounted to R 860.00.
On Thursday 28 November at 17:00 pm, I tracked shipment, could not trace where it was, meaning it had not left distribution center. Requested a credit on the overnight courier since my shipment was not delivered the following day as indicated. The owner indicated that I will need to speak to his wife Antoinette, over the phone since she had left earlier, we got into a heated argument over my credit. Antoinette stating that Aramex is to be blamed, but my argument was my service provider is PostNet I have no dealings with Aramex. I was told to come back the following day, Friday 29 November, when Antoinette is available, went back, I was given my refund of R 410.00. Still I could not track the shipment, on Friday 29 November. On 30 November I receive a call from PostNet Blue Valley, asking which whiskeys were packed for shipment, I asked why am I asked such, the assistant could not answer me. Shortly, Antoinette calls me, asking the same question as the assistant, Antoinette indicated that the whiskey bottles got damaged/broke along the way, I asked how many bottles, she could not answer me. After a few minutes she called again, gave me a number to call to find out how many bottles got damaged. I called the Aramex lady she confirmed 2 X whiskey bottles i.e. Chivas and Black Label got damaged. I requested pictures, she said she could not send any pictures at the time but will send to Antoinette on Monday 2 December. I received a call on Monday 2 December from the consignment recipient indicating that he received 5 X whiskey bottles instead of 6 bottles and the whiskeys got swapped instead of the 3 X Courvoisier, there is 3 X Chivas. Called Antoinette requesting the pictures and also wanting to know where is the 6th bottle of whiskey if 2 X bottles got damaged out of 8.She insulted me, called me a ****, that there were 7 bottles not the 8 bottles am alluding to. I requested pictures too, she said she sent the pictures, I did not receive any pictures then she said she will not argue with me, she hung up. She later sent a text message requesting my email address.Forwarded email address on 3 December, no pictures were sent.
There is definite foul play in all of this between PostNet and ARAMEX.
I demand the bottles of whiskey that I shipped not swapped bottles of whiskey received and the two bottles that broke, its all clear that the bottles broke because someone fiddled with the package.
