Aramex deliberately damaging parcels.
I use Aramex to send parcels all over South Africa, and in the past I have been happy with their courier service. But for the last 2 months their service has gone from bad to very much worse. They are taking very long to deliver parcels, and not because of lockdown. As an example, in July I sent one parcel to Johannesburg and one to East London. Both the parcels were sent to johannesburg, and the one for East London was then dispatched from there to East London. The irony was that the parcel sent to East London was delivered long before the one sent to johannesburg. It didn't make sense to me. It was eventually delivered after I called and complained bitterly to the agent picking up the call. But the worst of the problems I'm currently experiencing is that it seems my parcels are deliberately been damaged. A parcel I sent to East London has a broken bottle even though the bottles were individually wrapped. But I sent two parcels to Ladybrand, and it seems that the parcels were stood on or jumped on. Plastic bottles were totally destroyed, not one but a few. I have sent parcels containing bottles like that before, and they always got there intact. But it seems that this time the people responsible for delivering or perhaps sorting the parcels were intent on damaging the parcels. Please could you tell me what is going on Why can we not have decent service. After all we do pay for the service. I am very disappointed and extremely unhappy with the service I have received from Aramex in the last 2 months. It is so bad, that my agent on the other side cannot resell the products because of the damage while being couriered. So both myself and my agent have lost a lot of money. In this economic climate, no one can afford to sustain such losses. From one business to the next, this is not the way to treat your clients. Customer service is the key to success. Please give this matter your urgent attention. Waiting for a response.
