Aramex Appalling Customer Service
My daughter phoned Aramex Sandton offices very early this morning and arranged to pick-up her parcel. On arriving at Sandton offices she was told that the parcel has been dispatched and whoever was assisting her could not get hold of the courier driver as the driver's mobile phone was "apparently off". My daughter drove back home (Fourways) to be able to receive the parcel as there is no one at home during the day. As she was on close by home I received a phone call from our complex security gate personnel informing me of the delivery. I requested our security personnel to give the courier driver my phone number so that he could call me. All I wanted to tell the driver was that my daughter was just around the corner and she would meet the driver at the main gate. The security personnel confirmed that my contact number was given to the courier driver, who seemingly left the complex without calling me. Just wondering if this particular driver does have a functional mobile phone with enough airtime. Assuming that he had, what is difficult in phoning me, rather than leaving with the parcel - the same parcel that was to be collected because of the urgency attached to receiving it???
We have used Aramex services while we lived in Cape Town for a couple of years and it is our first time that we are using this service while in Gauteng. I must say that we have never experienced such an appalling service from Aramex. What is even more frustrating is Aramex call centre waiting time, holding for a good 10 minutes and when I am told I am first in line for 4 minutes waiting still, the call gets cut-off. Tried calling the call centre four time with a loooooooooooooooooong waiting time still, nothing less than 10 minutes with no luck of talking to someone that can help. Even the so called Customer Services Manager " Lindaleine Venter is too busy to take my call, no decency to dedicate a colleague or a "Team Leader" to take my call or even call me and hear me out!!!!
I bet this is the last time that my family is using Aramex service, specifically in Gauteng province, their service sucks and no none seems to care about the client's frustration due to their poor service.
