Aramex and Postnet don’t care about your packages

I sent myself 4 boxes with my last precious belongings from Pretoria to Cape Town. I moved down in 2018 for work and my mom stored a few things for me. I went to visit over Easter and packaged my last things up that included my wedding dress, books and a nice set of glasses. I packed them in separate boxes and sent them via Postnet. The Postnet staff put fragile stickers on them and added a note to handle with care. They arrived today and to my disappointment the boxes were severely mishandled. It coat me R1400 to dry clean my wedding dress that is now full of dirt ons a piece of it because the box tore open on the side. It’s not like the dry cleaners are going to charge me only to clean that one spot. I now have to clean the whole thing again. Some of my books from the one box is bent.

Everything was packed neatly and with padding (bubble wrap etc. The only box that is unscathed is the smallest with the glasses because it was marked to contain glass. But the rest are mangled. So disappointed. Will never use Aramex again and by association Postnet.
