Poor Product Quality and Poor Service
<p>I bought a pool net from Aqua-net in October 2015 for R4 860. Aqua-net sent a team to install the net at my residence. After a few months, we struggled to put the net back on securely as it was supposed to be tight such that a baby can float on it. Subsequently, my 18 months old baby girl fell on top of the net and sunk with it! We had to pull her out of the recently-shocked pool water smelling of acid, much to her and our trauma. When I contacted Aqua-net, they sent one of their staff members who assessed the net and said it had shruck. Aqua-net then sent me a bill of R1 290 to repair the net and stated that the net was not supposed to be off the pool for more than 24 hours! This had never been pointed out to me before. In fact, the Aqua-net website states that the net is pre-shrunk during the manufacturing process to ensure it will not shrink if left off the pool for extended periods. When I pointed this out to them, Aqua-net then referred me to some small print on their invoices and quotation regarding the 24hours maximum time off which is inconsistent with their website where I made the decision to purchase their product. This is pure misrepresentation and trying to pool the wool over unsuspecting customers' eyes. This is clearly how Aqua-net makes additional income from customers who chose them in good faith. The Aqua-net pool net is not reasonably suitable for the purposes it is intended for as most families would leave the net off their pool for the weekend to swim which the Aqua-net pool net would not cope with as the maximum time allowed off is 24 hours! What a dud of a product and poor servicing when they are challenged on this. Aquanet should refund me my R4 860 plus interest so that I can go fit a new net with a reputable competitor before my 18 months old baby girl drowns! :(</p>
