Very Bad Vibes

I phoned this company out of desperation yesterday afternoon because I could not get through to the Bosch call centre. They promised to have someone by me at our house at 9AM. They told me yesterday they were authorised by Bosch to repair Bosch equipment, which is why I agreed to let them send someone.

This morning, I received a call from Thomas, their technician. I heard music playing in the background and he asked me for our address. Why did he not have our address when this was given to the person at the company yesterday? He then struggled to listen to me giving him the address. I had to spell the street name several times. It sounded like he was trying to talk to someone in the background at the same time as talking to me, music playing and all.

At 9h38, he was still not here. At that point, I found some negative reviews on HelloPeter. I phoned Bosch and got through to their call centre. They cannot at this time seem to find any record of this company as being approved by them. I phoned them back and told them Thomas was late. They said this was unusual and this was the first time there had been complaints about him.

Then they could not make up their mind if he was a contractor or one of their employees. Also, at first the could not find my phone number in their system and then they could. What? I asked them again if they were authorised by Bosch to repair Bosch machines. They said again they were. I then told them Bosch could not find any record of them being authorised to repair Bosch machines. They did not quite know what to say. Eventually they said their technicians held Bosch certificates.

I cancelled with them and told them there were taking chances. They said they were not but at least said - let us see - that they would cancel. Bosch's call centre agent said they will ask someone to look into this alleged authorisation by Bosch of this company to repair Bosch machines. I hope for their sakes they were telling the truth.
