**** WARNING – APPLELUX COMMUNICATIONS PLUG: Thapelo I-phones: Matimu Mathebula/ PRE-OWNED & NEW iPHONES ⚠️ Please be vigilant when dealing with a seller/business operating under the name Applelux Communications Plug. The person involved also uses the name Thapelo, and Matimu Mathebula and claims to have bank accounts with TymeBank and NedBank. A family member of mine recently dealt with this seller regarding the purchase of new/pre-owned iPhones. The seller requested full payment upfront, explaining that because the phones were on special, the usual 50% deposit was not applicable. After payment was made, the seller then requested an additional refundable DSV insurance fee of approximately R1,800 for the phones to be delivered. This raised serious concerns, particularly because courier companies do not normally require customers to pay a suspicious additional “refundable insurance fee” in this manner. The seller may also offer to video call customers and show them phones, claiming that the phones have been collected from a supplier and are ready for delivery. Please do not assume that a video call or showing of phones is proof that the transaction is legitimate. The seller operates a WhatsApp channel called Applelux Communications Channel, where various iPhone prices and specials are advertised. Screenshots of the advertised prices have also been attached for awareness. 🚨 Please exercise extreme caution before sending any money to this seller. Verify the business independently, verify the banking details, and do not make additional payments for supposed courier/insurance fees without confirming directly with the courier company. A family member of mine has unfortunately lost money in this transaction, so I am sharing this warning to prevent anyone else from falling victim. Please share this with family and friends, especially anyone currently looking to purchase an iPhone. Stay vigilant and do your checks before making payment.
