Appletiser - where are you?
My fiancé purchased a bottle of Appletiser for me at the end of May when we were having a get together with friends from the Total Garage garage shop. When I opened the bottle and poured some into a glass I smelt a strong smell of apple cider vinegar. I smelt the bottle of Appletiser and realised it was the Appletiser. I asked my friend to smell the glass to make sure I wasn't imagining it and he said it definitely smelt like apple cider vinegar. This was very disappointing as it was the second time it was happening to me. The first was earlier in the year when I purchased Appletiser from Checkers in Pinetown and the same thing happened. Those bottles were replaced as I reported it. The problem is not only the bottles of Appletiser I have purchased that have been a problem but also the cans. I purchased a can of Appletiser in April and I went to visit my sister. I poured the Appletiser into a glass and was a little worried as it was bright yellow and not the normal colour. I tasted it and it tasted fine and smelt fine but after drinking it within 10 minutes I was nauseous and dizzy and had terrible stomach ache and I got a headache which wasn't normal. My sister was very worried as was I as I was scared I'd have to go to the hospital with the way I was feeling. I purchased another can of Appletiser about a month or so ago and the same thing happened. I poured it into a glass and it was bright yellow which my fiancé saw. I just didn't drink it this time. Please can you advise what the problem is or was with Appletiser as I haven't seen any in our shops here in Durban for a while.
