Wiping hard drive without permission

I had a problem with my Mac book and requested they have a look what the problem was. It turned out that there were issues with my hard drive. When they sent the quote, I immediately rejected it, because it was more than I could afford at the time and told them I would return is at the end of the month. But in their process of checking they removed all my info from drive. They did this without my permission. <br> <br> When I wrote an email to complain, all I got back is, no we didn't.
