Technician cracked my screen before i signed for the repair clause.
I brought in my laptop to the Istore Queens hotel in Cape Town, where a technician helped me on Sunday the 24th of April after my laptop had a hair thin crack on one side of the screen and this employee, Bartman, was trying to take my cover off and ended up cracking my whole screen and rendered it completely black. My laptop wasn't even signed in for repair yet and no physical damage was apparent.
I had bought it not even 6 months ago and the laptop should still be under warranty if no excess damage was visible and there was absolutely no damage to the laptop. i walked in that Istore with my laptop screen still working and by the time a gave it in for repair and signed the form, my laptop need to be plugged in to a TV to see the display.
Now Apple is trying to charge me for the repair of the screen which i had nothing to do with and are denying me my warranty. I have been a big supporter of the Apple brand and the stores in South Africa but this is shocking, my laptop was completely usable when i took it and by the time i gave it in for repairs and further assistance the whole screen was shattered. this technician full on cracked my screen trying to take my cover off and with no control and with the most unprofessional attitude.
I don't recommend that istore at all and i'm scared to take anything there, they might just break it and charge me for the damages, how does that make sense?
