second hand goods sold as new.

Hi<br> <br> Even though I am not a fan of Apple products I do hold the brand in high regard.<br> <br> My complaint is based on the fact that I was shopping for a a smart phone for my father, who has never used a smart phone.<br> <br> I wanted a 4s or similar to see if he could use the product and practice on it.<br> <br> I went into the Apple store direct so I could get the best advise.<br> <br> The phones were on special for 3000 rand which I thought was fair for older technology however I bought it believing the phone was new. At no point did the sales person indicate the phone was second hand. There was no obvious signage signage stating it was second hand. The box does not state the product is second hand. I would never have bought my father a second hand phone. This is embarrassing as I would be ashamed to even tell him it is. My fathers phone now looses about 25%of his battery over night. its obviously an old battery.<br> <br> On a second visit I was shown the tiny print of the advertising board showing premium used goods.<br> <br> I feel disgusted that such a strong brand takes to these marketing tactics. It may not have been on purpose or with misrepresentation in mind. But I would have probably opted for the better phone.<br>
