Poor iPhone security and service. DO NOT recommend using Apple Services!

Hi, my name is Dylan Jordan, and I would like to share my unfortunate experience regarding my iPhone with iStore South Africa. On Saturday the 21st of October, I had an unfortunate incident whereby my iPhone 14 Pro Max had been ****** outside within my friends apartment. The apartment had security and was within closed and what I...thought was a safe and secure place. My iPhone was ****** out of my friends car during our absence. After having endlessly searching for hours and using the "find my iPhone" application myself and my friends were unsuccessful and left me in despair. I had went to iStore today to resolve the situation in hopes that they could locate the phone even if the cellphone was switched off whereby they had stated when the phone was purchased. They had instantly said that it cannot be located when the phone is off and had left us with no alternatives or other means of locating the phone. This is highly and utterly disappointing and leaves me VERY upset with iStore services and iPhones security measures as they provide the public with false advertising and assurance that any lost or ****** iPhone item can be tracked or located. This makes me not trust Apple and leaves me displeased with they're service after having paid R32 000 for the phone cash at the time trusting the security and reliability. With the iPhone 15 just launched I don't see how anyone could ever trust Apple and pay knowing that such an expensive item can just be lost or ****** and not have access to the location or its whereabouts. Absolutely disgusted that Apple South Africa has done nothing to resolve the situation or even try to locate my ****** phone. I truly hope that this does not happen to anyone and if so, I truly hope that Apple South Africa/iStore at least provide you with help rather than just leaving the situation as is. I hope that this information will help someone or make them aware of what's happening with phone theft and about the poor service and security that Apple South Africa provides. False advertising cannot be tolerated.
