Good day fellow humans.

I am posting this review so that you can't claim ignorance of the fact that Apple charges you a premium price for garbage. I don't have prior experience with their high-end products other than the last 18months.

First of all, during this incredibly trying time of Corona, no one has anything left to spare and keeping your business in-business is very difficult. Roughly 10months in of owning the top of the line MacBook Pro, 50% of the USB ports stopped working.

I could manage with it for a while, and when I finally had the opportunity to send it away for repairs, they couldn't be bothered to do a 10-second test to check the USB ports after explicitly stating they don't work.

I received it back, took 5 seconds to check it, and it wasn't working. Well, now I had to send it back again. So another week without my primary tool of generating an income. Great, that's what we need from one of the leading tech companies of the world, incompetence.

Only took five days for them to send me a revised quote that the board needs to be replaced, costing me half the price of a brand new MacBook Pro. This is 10months in of owning one of the most expensive laptops in the world??

I've had laptops a tenth of the price last me more than five years without any issues. Stay away, especially if you don't have to develop Apple software. Don't buy into the idea that you get what you pay for with Apple, yes it's pretty, but its hardware quality is shallow, apart from the board breaking, the battery was shot, and the keyboard was broken.

Horrible and simply outrageous that you buy something because it's "Premium" and thinking it will last you the bare minimum of years. You stake your business on this very fact, just to be told sorry your warranty has expired.

I'm not expecting this review to change anything for me, because they already have their R50 000+ from me and why should they bother? Since people will continue to buy this garbage.
