NO assistance for internationally purchased Iphone

A week ago, I dropped my IPhone 6 in water and since then it has not turned on. I took it to the ifix store to try and have it repaired but they were unable to repair it.

I went to the Istore for assistance. The gentleman that was working at the time did not give me a chance to explain my situation, the minute he heard that my phone was purchased internationally (South Korea) he handed me the number for the apple support.

Since then I have tried to get a replacement phone (because of the liquid damage I fully understand that I have to pay extra to get a replacement phone). No one can assist me. My warranty is valid till next January and I have apple care.

I am just really frustrated because I've been redirected to contact my service provider in South Korea (bearing in mind a language barrier) because Apple South Africa CANNOT and WILL NOT assist me. I find that this is ridiculous. After a few attempts I managed to contact my service provider in South Korea, he cannot assist me. I am not intending on going back to South Korea. He claims that apple South Africa should assist me because I am currently in South Africa. I am really disgusted with this service and passing the buck
