My Odd Apple Experience
I’ve always admired Apple—Steve Jobs is my corporate hero—and I own four iPhones, three iPods, and a MacBook. The iPods and MacBook run flawlessly, but all four iPhones suddenly died without warning. Apple Stores told me they were “too old to fix” and suggested I buy new ones. Yet, my decade-old Samsung devices still work perfectly, no repairs, no updates needed. An Apple Repair Centre diagnosed my iPhones: batteries fine, just software updates required. But after wiping and reinstalling, one phone’s screen and home button failed, and the others rejected the update with a mysterious Error 9—an undefined fault that even the technicians couldn’t explain. It left me wondering: do iPhones have a built-in self-destruct that forces upgrades? Has anyone else faced this Error 9 roadblock?
