IP68 water resistance ****

4 months 29 days ago I made the decision to buy the hugely expensive XS Max. Contract of course as very few people can actually afford a phone at that price.

Upon purchasing the phone I did all my research and new exactly of the IP68 water and dust resistance rating. This means and the developers at apple stated this in their presentation in California that the phone can withstand 30 minutes at a depth of 2 meters. His exact words “if your phone drops in the pool, don’t worry, dive down, get your phone and dry it off. Everything will be ok”

Yesterday I took a photo underwater knowing exactly the resistance the phone could handle and my phone is completely broken. I ran to the Istore and asked them to please help as you know this rating covers water resistance. They said it will cost R13 000 to fix.

Apple please help. I’m sure you understand this is not right. The least that could happen is you fix my phone and publicly announce the IP68 rating is no longer.
