Find my phone is a useless feature

I lost my Iphone on Sunday 08/04/2018 and used the find my phone app, it showed the place where my phone was ******, the next day on Monday 09/04/2018 my phone was erased from my apple ID, i can't trace it anymore, i have been using Iphones for more than five years but i feel its a useless phone, i paid so much money thinking its a much secure phone to use, i am very disappointed in apple products
