Disgusting Apple
Hi, please direct my complaint. I bought my 12 year daughter an Apple Iphone8 for her birthday last year November... in setting up the phone and ID it prompted me to put in my credit card details, reluctantly I did, as it says" you will not be debited unless you make in app. purchases. Well few months down the line I was wacked with a credit card bill of over R3000. First I thought ***** was committed on my card but after further investigations we realized that my daughter had UNKNOWHINGLY been downloading apps and games WORTH LUDICROUS amounts. In having the conversation with her she was devastated and said that all the apps and games she downloads says FREE. She then continued to show me. This is when I realized how APPLE IS *****ING PEOPLES MONEY WITH ITS SNEAKY Advertising. It says large FREE on the game or App BUT then when you open it up and scroll down there is a fine print that's read.. if you dont cancel after your first week free trial then you AUTIMATICALLY get signed up and your card debited!!!!!!!!! Is this a joke???? I'm not talking small amounts here I'm talking R700 a WEEK for colour my call... needless to say I was left with a hefty credit card bill.... and I realize that THIS IS EXACTLY WHY APPLE ASKS FOR A CREDIT CARD TO BE LOADED when setting up the phone... little bit of sneaky advertising and they then con people out if THOUSANDS of rands? Well its disgusting!!!!! Surely after the kids sign up for a one week "FREE" trial and it expires an email should be sent to the person ASKING him whether they WANT TO "Automatically" be signed up!!!!!!!!!!! We now sit with this phone wirth R20k that we cant update any apps, software or games because of the "ballance outstanding" after I cancelled my card. I want to know HOW do I go about to get rid of that ballance showing so we can update her software and apps normally. I am NOT interested in paying any balances so let's be clear on that!!! Vicky
