Having used iPhone for a few years, I really liked the quality feel and just how fast it felt. But after iPhone shifted away from headphone jacks and the limitation of sharing files between other non Apple devices, which was important to me at the time, I switched to Android. Recently I thought it's time to give them a chance again and join the Apple community, as I genuinely liked the products and so I did my due diligence. Did some research on repairabilty of the new devices, prices, warranties and so on because it's expensive and I don't want waste my money on something that might not be for me. Eventually I decide I have enough money, I have time to go to the Apple store and I'm ready to make the commitment again. After arriving at the store in Claremont mall Saturday 6th August 2022, it's busy so I browse while I wait to be helped by these consultants moving across the floor. I wait almost 30 minutes before I eventually become frustrated and approach this gentleman, name starts with a J, tall, light skinned with light brown hair. I can't even remember his name because he doesn't turn to me, just says he'll be with me soon. Fine. I continue to wait... Eventually I approach this girl with long black hair and she apologizes for the wait but they busier than expected, they'll be with me soon. As I'm there almost 90 minutes, it dawns on me that maybe I'm not dressed smartly enough or I'm not the right skin colour to be taken seriously as a buyer as I can see people who arrived after me get helped. It's so frustrating to feel like my money isn't good enough. Like I'm not good enough. Even more frustrating because I was already two minded about spending so much money for a mobile phone but I had decided that I was going to. Sad that people still judge others based on appearances. Will rather stick with Android.
