Disappointing Apple Product
<p><br /> <br />AppleCare Customer Department<br /> <br />I have purchased a Macbook Air 13inch laptop together with a IPad Air on 08/02/2014. I am a teacher and I use the computer for teaching purposes. Last week Saturday when I turned on my computer I noticed the screen was fuzzy and had like streaks and lines on the screen. I couldn’t understand as to what would've caused this technical error as my computer is in pristine condition and I really take care of it. The screen doesn't even have a single scratch or crack on it.</p> <p><br />I took my computer to Gateway IStore and the technician was baffled himself because he informed me that he hasn't seen much laptops with this underlying problem. If he did see one it is normally the screen that is cracked. He checked the computer but could not diagnose the fault. He informed me that he will book it in and send it to the repair centre. The repair centre checked the machine and they sent me an email indicating that they checked the unit and it was due to a "Component failure - Glossy Display Assembly" They quoted me R9145-00 to repair the laptop.</p> <p><br />I was very disappointed that there was a malfunction with the component as this laptop is just three years old. I look after my computer equipment and I can't understand how this could have happened. Being a teacher I love Apple Products because I know they are the best in the world when it comes to reliability and quality. As mentioned I bought an IPad Air and I also have an IPhone 6 Plus as well. As you can gather that I am an Apple fanatic. I can't believe that this product only lasted three years and is already giving me trouble so early. Surely this product should live up by its name and not have given trouble so early. I am totally reliant on my computer and I am totally disillusioned with this Apple Product.</p> <p><br />Please could you investigate how this could have happened to such an expensive computer which should have been the best in the world.
