Defective Apple Watch

My apple watch series 3 recently exploded whilst driving.

After taking it to the Authorized dealer in pavillion I was told it needs to go to the repair centre in Gauteng.

After doing some investigation online I noticed that there is a defect with the series 2 and 3 whereby the battery explodes and the screen pops.

Mine did just that whilst driving.

I subsequently received and invoice from the repairer stating that they want to replace my unit with a second hand defective model with a warranty of 3 months.

This is not acceptable and makes no sense.
