Complaint to apple

I am so disappointed in the iphone x that is advertised as water resistant, when it is clearly not! I dropped my phone in water by accident for < 1 min and to a depth of < 0.5 meter and despite it being in a "life proof cover" it is now permanently damaged. No compensation offered.
