APPLE SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION SUCKS!!!!

APPLE SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION SUCKS!!!! Firstly it’s such a mission to get hold of anyone by phone to speak to an actual person, in my case the Fourways Mall iStore and every time we have a question we have to drive to Fourways Mall to get an answer.

We booked my device in in December, paid the labour fee, they said they sent the quote via email but we never received it, asked them to send it again, so once again we had to drive to the mall on 30 December, already 8 days after we booked it in (note on the quote it says quote expires after 7 days but we got the quote 8 days later only) for them to print the quote out for us, again no contact details on the quote. We then submitted it to the insurance and I was trying to get an answer from them whether they were going to pay for the claim, this during the holidays.

On 10 January we received a message that the device was back at Fourways Mall iStore and I went to fetch it on the 12th. The following day, 13 January the insurance called me to say they will be paying for the claim. Once again we tried tirelessly to get through to the Fourways Mall branch by phone just to ask them a simple question as to what to do next and eventually my husband had to take a drive there again on Sunday morning the 15th. He spoke to the manager on duty and asked specifically whether we needed to pay the labour fee again to which the manager on duty rep**** NO and said that because it was for the same problem we don’t have to and that we only needed to bring the device in and book it in under the same reference number. Based on that information we booked the device in again and now I’m receiving a quote for labour fee again?

I rep**** to the email with with what I mentioned above and got this reply back: “Kindly note that the stands labour fee”. I don’t know what that’s supposed to mean.

I then rep**** with the following: Hi

As per my email I explained that-

1. I only received the quote 8 days after you guys received the device

2. How is it that someone in a management position tells me something and you are saying something else?

To which I received back: Good day Lettie,

Please note that as explained the quote with the labour fee stands for our end

Please elaborate on the below

2. How is it that someone in a management position tells me something and you are saying something else?

Kind regards Core Service Comms

Then I rep****: Hi

Not to sure what this means, “the stands labour fee”.

Does it mean I only pay the R3531.57 + VAT for new battery? If so please go ahead and replace the battery.

Thank you.

And then this afternoon I received this: Good day

Please note that the quoted amount is RR4661.29 including Labour fee

Kindly advise on how we should proceed

Kind regards

It is very frustrating trying to sort out an issue over email especially if you only getting 2 responses a day and that having a timeline of 7 days responding to a quote. I need to speak to someone, an actual person over the phone so that this can be resolved once and for all because all I need is for apple to come back and tell me the 7 days is over again and that I have to end up going through this whole process again and losing even more money!!!

I honestly thought paying more and buying apple products instead of android would make life easier and yes the product itself is amazing but the service and technical support SUCKS!!! This is not the first time I have been frustrated with apple I also have and Apple 7 that I got on contract through a service provider, paid it for 24 months then when I upgraded to a new apple I gave the iPhone 7 to my son and he accidentally got it blocked by entering the wrong password and I have struggled since then to get the Activation lock removed going backwards and forwards between the service provider and apple, have opened so many tickets, supplying all the proof that the phone was paid for etc every document Apple asked for we supplies yet no luck. I have had 2 other iPhones since then and the lock is still on the phone. Is it really worth paying more and sitting with devices we can’t use? And it’s like none of the staff cares and just pull up their shoulders and say sorry can’t help. This is shocking.
