Apple Pathetic Chargers

I'm so frustrated and completely irritated, I have owned 6 apple macs, note books and mac book air. All three of my children have owned 2 apple macbookairs each and every year with every machine we have had to in year two purchase a new power cable at us cost of over R1000.00. Surely Apple will get to a stage where they make stronger more robust power cables that live for the duration of the computer itself.
