Apple launches faulty Iphone 5 - recall

Apple puts a faulty device on the market and recalls the device for replacement. MTN (the supplier) unreasonably refused to repair the unit despite the fact that the superficial damage does not impair the the replacement of the sleep/wake button wanting to make a quick buck for new casing at a cost of R3200.<br> <br> I took the unit to the I -Store in Canal Walk in Cape Town where unit was inspected. It was advised to escalate the matter to Apple as they could not understand why MTN is refusing to do the replacement/repair.<br> <br> I have done as advised by the I- Store (an accredited and reputable Apple product distributor).<br> <br> You refusal to override MTNs unreasonable refusal to replace the faulty unit released by Apple does not make any good sense. After all it not an MTN product It is a Apple product which was recalled by Apple for replacement at no cost. <br> <br> This leaves Apples customers venerable to unreasonable decisions by other service providers. I am sure Apple can to better than that!! <br> <br> Despite numerous emails and calls to AppleCare (AppleCare Case Number ***) no response was forthcoming. <br> <br> <br> Regards,<br> <br> M Parker <br>
