Apple Battery Replacement

Apple recently released a statement stating that battery replacements could be done on specific models for R430. I made an online booking with the IStore in Sandton City and handed my phone in on the 25th March. They ran a diagnostic test of the phone and confirmed that there was issues with my battery. On the 28th March I received a quote for R5000 and was being quoted for a replacement unit. This was not what the phone was sent in for. I requested an explanation and was told that there were other faults on the phone. I requested for the battery to be replaced again and if that could not be done that they should send the phone back. Please see reponse below after several days.

Please be advised that battery is swollen and it poses as risk to technician, it might explode when replacement the battery.

I have been a loyal IPhone customer for the last 6 years and I am totally disgusted in the way this has been handled. Clearly what you guys release in statements is untrue. I will definitely not be getting an IPhone with my next upgrade!
