Apple and iStore's attitude is extremely arrogant
As Apple's representative in South Africa I find iStore's (any by association, Apple's), means of resolving customers' queries shameful and very arrogant, in fact a 'slap in the face' - the only way I can try and sort out my problem on the telephone is to talk to a 'customer centre' - you do not give me the opportunity to talk to anyone at the iStore's of my choice, the one nearest to me. I have to get into my car and drive 40 kms to speak to someone – Istore’s attitude is really a shame. Be that as it may, I think you need to train your telephone operators properly. I recently lost the box in which my iMac was packaged and spoke to OWEN MAHLALELA at your contact centre half an hour ago. I asked if it was at all possible that amongst all the iStores in Gauteng there could be an empty box for an iMac that I could have, or even buy. Owen is so brilliant that he was able to tell me that there was absolutely no empty box standing in any store in Gauteng - I guess he is psychic in which case he should rather win the Lotto and retire. He had no interest whatsoever in trying to help or give me guidance - he simply knew that there was no way I could get an empty iMac box. I find iStore's attitude is disgusting and very arrogant - you force us to speak to an untrained and, at the very least, an uninterested staff member on the phone. In your stores you have display iMacs all over your shelves, please don’t try and tell me that there is not one empty iMac box sitting somewhere in the back rooms. Oh, I forgot, Owen already knows that there are no empty boxes anywhere!! I would dearly love to have the pleasure of throwing out all of the Apple products I have so that I never have to accept this shameful attitude ever again!!
