8 day old brand new macbook pro already problematic
I received delivery on my MacBook Pro 16" on the 28th of Feb. Today being the 9th of March I have experienced problems with my mac as it refuses to boot up and it is overheating. It does not boot into the OS and constantly stays on (even with the lid closed). As a result, when this problem occurred today I took it straight through to the iStore. I was advised by the technician who was unable to perform diagnostics himself. He advised that because my laptop was past 7 days I could not get a replacement but that the unit had to be repaired. I find this to be absolutely Ludacris as it is 2 days outside of the 7 days return back policy. This is a brand new unit and should not be having these problems and that I should have to bear the brunt of what is a most likely defective laptop that was provided to me. I also have concerns that due to the overheating other components could have possibly been damaged as a result. And again I have to settle for getting a repaired unit back instead of a replacement when I have only had use of this unit for 8 days excluding today. I would like to therefore urgently request that you reconsider your policy and or decision in this regard and provide me with a replacement laptop and not repair a defective laptop.
