Unhappy about the service at Apple Cafe’ in Westville Durban
I traded an iPhone 7 Plus and payed R5000 in exchange for an iPhone XR. Two months down the line, the speaker had a problem. I sent it back and they “fixed it” it worked for a day and stopped working the next day. I told the manager that I’d be happier if I got an exchange because this device is already showing issues.
He said that that’s fine but I never got the device. I then proceeded to ask what’ll happen if something else becomes faulty and the warranty has expired, he said they’d exchange it.
In the fourth month, the battery was faulty. I went back, left the phone and they said they’ve replaced it. When texted their WhatsApp account, notifying them that the battery is still saying it’s not a genuine iPhone battery, the manager ignored me.
I went to iStore to change the battery myself, they couldn’t because the the parts which were used by Apple Cafe weren’t genuine.
Now I’m left with a phone that says: “Unable to verify that this iPhone has a genuine Apple battery. Health information not available tor this battery.”
