A-Plus express towing
If possible i'd give it a Zero Rate. A-Plus Express towing in West Turfontein is a **** and never let them tow your car at any time. I was involved in a car accident on the 13 July 2021 and a break down came to the accident scene and the tow guy’s name is Richard. He sold me stories that the 3rd party insurance would pay for damages within a week as the other driver was at fault, he wanted to rush me to move from the accident scene before the police take down an accident report, but I opted to wait until the police arrived at the scene to take the accident report. Then he eventually towered the car to Truck and car body repairs in West Turfontein approximately 10 kms away from the accident scene.
Later that day I got advised that I should remove the car from their facility as they would bill a lot of money for storage charges. Then I decided to go take the car before it’s too late. The lady at reception named Celine, contacted her bosses but they gave excuses that they are at a meeting, and they can’t assist me the same day. They delayed a day and when they gave me the release fee invoice, it was very ridiculous and didn’t have the money as they charged me R6 750 to tow a car for a distance less then 10KM. I decided to wait for a day I could afford to take the car out of their facility. On the day I wanted to take the car from their facility, The invoice read different amounts as I expected that the only addition would be storage fee. Then I asked for an amended invoice the reduced the money by an approximately R1 000. However, they wouldn’t release the car before the money reflects into their account which makes sense. The problem was that their policy states that they do not accept cash, they do not swipe anything more than R500 and their bank transfer (Mercantile bank) has no pay and clear option. This meant that I paid on Friday 23rd, and I couldn’t take the car as they said the money didn’t clear on Friday, so I had to wait until Monday and pay an extra storage fee for two more days.
I read a couple of Hallo peter reviews and I could exactly relate as I was given excuses every time, I wanted a quote and a release fee. Apparently, they keep the car until the storage fee is very high and can’t afford to release the car then they take it. I believe they take advantage of the vulnerable people as they are still shocked and in adrenaline of the accident.
