Unreliable and unprofessional business.

I arranged with one of their directors, Martin, to buy 83m3 of concrete. In terms of the arrangement, I was to pay R80 000 as a deposit, and the remainder a week later. The cement was to be delivered on Thursday, 12 December 2019, needless to say they didn't pitch. I constantly had to call them to follow up, speaking to different representatives (Martin, Thabo, Lerato and Alexia) with different stories all the time. At some stage they told me they could only deliver 50m3 as this was the amount covered by the paid R80 000, I rejected this as it was not my arrangement with them. They have been refusing to give me a refund, even though I was never advised that they don't give refunds. After instructing attorneys, they promised to refund me by close of business on Friday, 13 December, needless to say again, this was never done. Because the concrete was not delivered on time, I've incurred additional costs (e.g. for workers and their equipment). Concrete that was to cost me R 125 000.00, is now likely to cost me over R250 000 (with attorney's and workers' fees) I have to now resort to court action and other legal measures to get my money back. Trying to support a small business has extremely backfired. I should have rather waited for OnTime to get back to me. Lesson - always stick to big companies /known brands. Yes, there is a risk in every transaction, but not to the extent posed by these unknown companies.
